Here’s this week’s roundup, which thankfully includes the last of the Triangles section. See that first block? I had to pull it apart and redo it because the first time my 1/4″ seam gauge was in the wrong place. Just a tiny bit, ever so slightly, wrong. But it adds up when you put that many wrong seams together, and the columns with the half-square triangles did not come out at the same length as the long pieces between them. Sometimes you can fudge it, but these ones were so off there was no recovery outside of using the seam ripper. Oof. It came out well in the end, though.
Next week, more stripes, including some eensy little skinny ones. Fingers crossed.
These blocks are from Tula Pink’s City Sampler: 100 Modern Quilt Blocks and they were created for the #100days100blocks2018 sew-along hosted by Gnome Angel.
These are so beautiful! I think the one you had to redo is my fave.
Thank you! I like how it finally came out too. The other one of this batch that I really like is #54. Another friend said it was like fog coming in over coastal mountains. I like the thought.
